BADM-1020-JA: Business Communications

T & Th. 6-7:15 p.m.
Successful business professionals are effective
communicators. This course will develop and sharpen
students' written, oral and interpersonal communication
skills. Students will explore crucial rhetorical
issues that impact their ability to communicate
and achieve specific objectives as business leaders.
The psychology and mechanics of written business
communication will be thoroughly explored and widely
applied. Documents that demand careful planning
and composition, solid content and argument, and
logical organization and structure will be created.
Non-written applications in business areas such
as international/intercultural, nonverbal, interpersonal,
and ethical communication will also be stressed.
Prerequisite: ENGL 1010 (3 lect.)

FIN 1000-JA: Personal Finance
Credits: 3
This course adopts a life-cycle approach to financial
planning and is designed for students with diverse
educational backgrounds. The emphasis is on practical
application and decision-making. Personal Finance
introduces the student to the concepts, tools, and
applications of personal finance and investments.
Assuming little or no prior knowledge of the subject,
this introduction allows the student to take the
first steps toward understanding the process of
financial planning and the logic that drives it.

BADM-2010-JA: Business Law I
Credits: 3
This is an introductory survey course providing
abroad overview
of business-related legal topics. Students are familiarized
with the
nature and sources of law, court systems, common
law, statutory
law, constitutional law, administrative law, consumer
law, social
responsibility and business ethics.

I use CWC's on-line Education System (ANGEL)
extensively in my courses to delivers tests, syllabi,
and additional materials. Access to a computer is
critical to your understanding of the course materials.

Computer Education
I have extensive background in training in PC usage.
I can assist in setting up systems and trouble shooting
problems. I also train in web design basics.
