Transportation in Pakistan

Tongas act as both buses and taxis within our neighborhood. Two rupees (four cents) will get you a mile or so down the road, or 10 rupees if you want it to yourself.

The auto-rickshaws also act as taxis, but are more expensive as their two stroke engines are more than one-horse power.

Busses and trucks are often brightly painted.

A typical delivery service. This donkey brought us sand and roses for our garden. Imagine having to drive on a busy highway dodging this cart.
