In early October, the boys had a week off from school. We decided to drive to Hwange National Park and Victoria Falls, in the far western part of Zimbabwe. The drive took us two short days, and was an adventure in itself. For a while we didn't know if we would make it, or if we would run out of fuel just short of our destination. (Zimbabwe continues to experience severe fuel shortages due to a lack of foreign currency with which to buy the fuel.) Once we arrived at Victoria Falls, here is the scene we recorded:
