Victoria, Richard & Andrew went to the beach in early
January. The trip was touted as a "swim
with the dolphins" vacation, and though that
was a nice idea, it didn't really work out that way. However,
the beach was beautiful, and we all had a good time. Photos
below.
We flew from Harare to the Southern most point of Mozambique,
Ponta d'Oura, in a six-person Cessna. It was a long, crowded,
flight.
The runway where we landed and the Airport at Ponta d'Oura.
After many years of bitter civil war, the infrastructure
here is in need of repair. We were warned not to wander
off paths, because the countryside is still littered with
mines.

The beach was without compare.

We stayed in reed huts and slept under
mosquito nets.

Made friends and had fun.

And here is "Gold Point" (Ponta d'Oura)
itself. South Africa is just around the point, and
we could have walked there had we wanted to. We had
a grand time.
