The evening we stayed at Imiri, we had a chance to talk with
the Games Master about his charges. When I tried to ask how
many animals he was responsible for, I used the word "critters".
He heard Kudu (the second largest of the African antelope),
and he said there were about 75, depending on how many males
had jumped the fence the night before. After explaining my
use of American English, I learned that there were almost
2000 animals in the park. Here are some of the Eland, also
at the park. They are the largest African antelope:

If you look carefully, you will see that the animal behind
has three horns, the result of inbreeding. Many of the animals
in the park are orphans that have been relocated there. They
have an active breeding program for a number of species, including
the Rhinos.
